2026 LeGrow Family FCGSC Scholarship Award Recipients
Our recipient this year is Shannon Ayotte, of Bristol, CT. Shannon is the daughter of Louis and Sarah Ayotte and the granddaughter of Robert Cummiskey.
She will attend Rhode Island College in the Fall 2026 and is enrolled as her major in Art Education.
In her essay, Shannon shared the history of "Grandpa Charles" who was born in New Brunswick and eventually came to Thompsonville, CT. She said in her essay," I never had the opportunity to meet Charles Napoleon Vasseur, based on our generational gap, but I think he was a very great man and would have been an awesome great-grandfather. It is incredible to me to learn about the past, and hear the truth of a gun-powder mill, of a person riding on a trolley to get to work, about Molly working hard next to her owner, and of the tragedy of 120 buildings being blown up and two humans losing their lives in this factory. All in a town named Hazardville, CT."

2025 Laura Farquhar
Congratulations to Laura Farquhar, of Killingly CT. Laura is the daughter of Marcia and Elias G. "Scott" Farquhar III, and the granddaughter of FCGSC member, Susan Griffiths.
She is attending Johnson and Wales University and is studying Health Science, specifically Occupational Therapy.
2025 Kaya Nichols
Congratulations also go to Kaya Nichols of Woodstock, CT. She is the daughter of Amy Bonneau, and the granddaughter of FCGSC members Phyllis and Ray Bonneau.
Kaya graduated from Woodstock Academy, 2025. She is attending UCONN and studying Exercise Science, specifically Physical Therapy
2025 Bella Pramanik
Congratulations to Bella Pramanik of Middletown, CT. She is the daughter of member, Marama and David Pramanik.
Bella graduated from Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, 2025. She attends Yale, and is majoring in Electrical Engineering.
2025 Lauren Ayotte

She is attending Western New England University and studying Criminal Justice.
2024 Laura Farquhar

Laura graduated from Killingly High School, 2024. She is studying Occupational Therapy at Johnson and Wales University.
2023 Sofia Hamel
Congratulations to Sofia Hamel, daughter of Donald and Maria Hamel, of Norwich, CT. She is also the granddaughter of FCGSC member, Yvette Jacaruso. She is attending Salisbury University majoring in Early Childhood Elementary Education.
2022 Camden Archambeau
Congratulations to Camden Archambeau, son of Michael and Erika Archambeau, on receiving the 2022 LeGrow Family Scholarship. Camden graduated with honors in 2019 from Weston High School.
He is enrolled in a dual degree program through Harvard and New England Conservatory.
2022 Megan Ayotte
Congratulations to Megan Ayotte, on receiving the 2022 LeGrow Family Scholarship. Megan, daughter of Louis and Sarah Ayotte, graduated in 2022 from Bristol High School.
Megan will study Marine Biology at the University of Rhode Island.
2022 Mackenzie Farquhar
FCGSC is happy to announce Mackenzie Farquhar as one of our 2022 awardees of the LeGrow Family Scholarship. Mackenzie, daughter of Marcia and Elias G. "Scott" Farquhar III, graduated from Killingly High with High Honors in '21. She attends UCONN as a Psychology major.

2019 Austin P. Bertrand
We are very pleased to announce that the first ever recipient of the 2019 FCGSC LeGrow Family Scholarship Award was Austin P. Bertrand. Austin is the son of Martha and Steve Bertrand of Manchester, Connecticut, and the grandson of the late Paul and Eliette (Dube) Bertrand.
